In 1995, Carmen launched her career on Wall Street. She quickly rose through the ranks to a senior executive in Fixed Income Institutional Sales at JP Morgan Chase. During her 20-years at the firm, Carmen played an active role in helping the company strategize, design, and implement impactful diversified recruiting and retention initiatives. She soon realized that her experience gave her a unique perspective into the business and she had an opportunity to influence the future of the firm through people and talent. With this objective in mind, she transitioned into Human Resources as the Head of Campus Recruiting and Leadership Development.

In 2015, Carmen’s priorities shifted and she wanted to focus more on her family and develop her passion to help others. Since the launch of Edelweise, Carmen has become the consummate student, has earned a number of certifications and actively works with executives and teams at many Fortune 500 companies.

Carmen is active in her community and serves on two Boards: Waterside School and Gabrielle’s Wings where she holds the elected position of treasurer. She is also a member of the Stamford Council for the United Way of Western Connecticut and is the Co-Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee at Sacred Heart Greenwich.

Carmen received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University’s School of Business. She loves to travel with her husband and three kids, play golf and is an avid runner - to date, she has completed two marathons and many half marathons.
