OPPORTUNITY MINDSET

Life offers neither problems nor challenges, only opportunities

How great would that be to see opportunities, possibilities, and solutions everywhere?

​

Level 5 Energy of Energy Leadership model has an empowering mindset of Reconciliation and Opportunity. This energy, mindset, attitude, approach allows us to have a highly conscious, wide-ranging view of situations, and thus have many choices in playing this game of life.

 

All experiences are opportunities for growth. There are no problems, only opportunities for increasing potential on this amazing journey we call life.  Without the opportunities in life to grow, there would be no purpose to life.

A challenge can bring out the best in people by helping them grow.

​

We all are facing challenges. It can be difficult to move out of the comfort zone and break through whatever is holding us back from attaining what we really want. There are many things beyond our control and capacity.

​

Sometimes to attain new heights it takes stepping atop of the blocks created by pain. Also, we know that when we do not face challenges, they are kept alive and powerful.

Imagine there is not good or bad, right or wrong. Imagine you can get excited by the things that don't go as planned as by things that do, because you can handle and capitalise on whatever comes up.

Here are some reflections and tips how to shift to opportunity mindset (Level 5 in Energy Leadership by iPEC).

  • What challenges are you facing?

  • What is the potential opportunity waiting to emerge because of this?

  • What might this mean?

  • Where do you want to go from here?

  • What choices can you make to shift your challenge into opportunity?

  • What opportunities are available to you now?

  • Who do you know that can bring you closer to that opportunity?

  • How can everyone win here?

  • What are you learning about yourself and others as a result?

  • What is this situation, person inspiring you for?

  • In which  situations do you consistently see and seek opportunities?

  • How can you approach opportunities with curiosity, not judgment?

TIPS

  • Try not to judge everything as good or bad, right or wrong

  • See nothing as a problem, only opportunity

  • See possibilities and solutions everywhere

  • Have a purpose

  • Be open and scan for opportunities

  • Lead yourself and others into productive action

  • Have a wide-ranging view on situations

  • See many choices available to you

  • Look for win-win, if another doesn't win, you don't either

  • Accepting the differences rather than trying to change them

  • See others as gifted and full of potential

  • Anticipate greatness from others

  • Don't over - analise, focus on priorities

  • Try to be inspiring for others

  • Take little to nothing personally

  • Be transparent and honest

CONCLUSIONS

It is hard to maintain Level 5 Energy, mindset, attitude in the situations that are not pleasurable.

 

Some of the unexpected and powerful learnings come of the most difficult experiences. Just think of a few in your life. It is indeed difficult to remember and see it in the moment.

 

  • Move past the ego toward global perspective

  • View life as series of events

  • View life itself as an opportunity

  • Regain control by not having to control
